Title: Help me install Tiny Core
Post by: chrismt on May 27, 2010, 02:14:25 AM
I though installing Tiny Core was easy but it was not

I burned the Tiny Core 3 iso to a cd and booted it

But I cannot download any packages because the Internet configuration is not detecting my Realtek Wireless card

I don't have Ethernet

Please help

A couple of suggestions (assuming you can borrow an Internet connection):

1. Use the forum search on "realtek" and see if there are any helpful threads.

2. load the pci-utils and/or usb-utils extensions, look through "lspci" or "lsusb" and paste the line about your realtek hardware in this thread

As Tiny Core 3 is still alpha, maybe you could consider using the latest stable 2.11.1 ?
