Title: PXELINUX / Tiny Core Linux / Extensions
Post by: amorphous on August 14, 2009, 11:35:23 AM
Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this question... I am new to TCL.

I am using PXELINUX to boot TCL on diskless PCs. PXE linux seems to require the use of the TinyCore.gz file instead of an ISO image. I would like to make the bootable image more usefull (i.e. Load firefox, etc). Since it isn't using an ISO (where I can put a /tce directory) is my only option to remaster the TinyCore.gz or is there another way I can get the extentions to load each time? I like the idea of the dynamic loading, but I need to start with a "default" set.

I modifed TC to have its tce directory on an nfs share, and documented this here:
