Title: Google Chrome Update Has Only A Few Kilobytes
Post by: bochiman on July 17, 2009, 04:14:14 AM
Concerning browser security updates, Google Chrome silent update could be the safest, as compared to Mozilla, Microsoft, Opera and Apple technology, because it does not require user interaction Google has made notable improvement through the addition of a new differential compression algorithm called Courgette: now the update has only a few KB.

I don't see the logic behind this statement.  I could just as easily say the exact opposite, that an update which gives the user no chance of interaction is the most dangerous....in other words you're being forced to install software you have not agreed to install.
