I'm rocking my franken-hacked iridium-browser.tcz, but it would be nice to have an official Pure64 extension.
Iridium is basically chromium but with beefed up security, no call-home to Google, and built-in libre codecs.

Please send it. As you use it, you're the best person to do so.

I will try to compile it on TC, but the build process is somewhat bewildering. If I succeed, I'll submit it.

Wow, it seems that compiling this on my old T400 would take 10 hours minimum. The whole undertaking could take multiple days if I run into issues and need to troubleshoot. I have a wife and three kids--going further with this would translate into domestic discord, guaranteed. I'm throwing in the towel :-[
The extension I created from the binary .deb package provided by the developers works perfectly. If I were to a) thoroughly test the extension to make sure that the list of dependencies is complete and b) create all the repository metadata files, then may I submit iridium-browser as a "binary only" extension? I would be more than happy to do that. (I've seen other "binary only" extensions in the repository.) Please let me know. If this would be acceptable, I can submit it today.

Yes, for cases like this it's ok. Please mention it in the info file.

Thank you, curaga. Good to know.
Submitted.
