Just took once again a look at core concepts and found (to my surprise) SCM extension in the overview diagram at http://tinycorelinux.net/arch_core.html . I am slightly puzzled since I thought these are obsolete since years. Any opinions?

Hi bernhard
I think SCM extensions are obsolete since they are listed here:

I guess also, but then somebody should work on that figure, currently it is quite misleading ...

Hi bernhard
The drawing was done by ixbrian who hasn't been active since 2015, so there may not be a source file available to modify. It does
document a way to add programs while leaving the main file system virtually untouched. Since it's a .png file, it does not easily
lend itself to editing. However, adding a note to the .png file stating that SCMs are no longer in use would not be difficult.

sorry for the late answer: it is a pity that no source is available. does anybody has some contact data of ixbrian?
