Title: Any Introduced Kernel Weaknesses?

Hi Everyone

Several years ago I was on IRC talking about Tiny Core. I spoke about how I wanted to use it to control scientific instruments using ethernet sockets, RS232 and GPIB.

Someone wrote about the "sub-systems" being in "shambles" . I moved on.

Is the project just using a vanilla Linux kernel or has there been extensive modifications that could introduce bugs with less commonly used stuff such as serial ports?
