Also when im on tiny core i can not find the usb drive

And i would like to use Icewm but i duno the command to load it at start

And since i can not find the usb drive i cant save any of my settings

And when i try to install Java it freezes at the end

Also i can not get sound on windows my sound card says Conexant High def audio

I was thinking if i use the newest kernal i might get sound and wifi is their a way to do that

1. wifi: can you download the wifi modules for tinycore from another machine? if yes, then go to this address:

ftp://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/tinycorelinux/

and download the appropriate modules for your version of TC; put them on a usb, make a tce directory at the top of your hd or of your usb (mkdir tce) and save the modules into the tce dir so that they will be loaded at boot;

2. mount your usb stick with the mount tool in the cpanel, or in an aterm, type: sudo mount /dev/sdXY /mnt/sdXY (where X is the letter of your usb, and Y the number; do sudo fdisk -l to see which letter and number has your usb stick); to unmount your usb, in an aterm: sudo umount /dev/sdXY

3. save your settings, Java: search in the forum and look at the FAQ, there were lot of discussions about this; for Java, don`t forget to load OSS and to run the browser once before installing Java.

You raised several different issues. Here is some info that should help you get started.

Install Tiny Core without an internet connection.

/install.html][removed due to policy violation]/install.html (http://[removed due to policy violation)

Install Tiny Core on a USB drive the old way.

/tc1/install-usb.html][removed due to policy violation]/tc1/install-usb.html (http://[removed due to policy violation)

There is an easier way, but by need Tiny Core installed, or an internet connection, to use it.

/install-usb.html][removed due to policy violation]/install-usb.html (http://[removed due to policy violation)

Also search this forum.
