Title: JOE - Joe's Own Editor - requesting TC9 64-bit version (we do have the TC8 32)
Post by: Rudock1 on May 04, 2018, 02:55:22 PM
I am hoping we might be able to bring JOE, a very fine console text editor, over to Tiny Core 9 64-bit.  We have JOE v4.4 already in the 32-bit repository.  I see that JOE is now at v4.6 but honestly I am happy to see v4.4 if that is easier.

For those unfamiliar with JOE, it uses the old Wordstar CP/M commands, later same as in Borland C, Pascal, Basic etc.

thanks in advance.

Thank you, Juanito.  Your support is world class!  I appreciate that you moved up to the newest version, too.

The old Wordstar keyboard shortcuts are still quite common in many editors (like ctrl-y deletes a line, etc).  I always get a kick out of remembering how far back they go... to the dawn of the personal computer.

thanks and best regards,
Billy
