Title: mrViewer only Tiny Core Linux?
Post by: KenO on January 26, 2018, 10:35:43 AM
Hi,

First all my PCs are old. As a result, I would like to setup one of these old PCs to run Only mrViewer  https://sourceforge.net/projects/mrviewer/ or possibly make a Bootable USB Drive with only mrViewer so I can compare how it runs on these different older PCs.

Has anyone done something like this?

Since memory is a limiting factor would like to have the Linux OS as small as possible.

Question: am wondering if I can run mrViewer from command line so Not to need a GUI Desktop?

Appreciate any suggestions!

Thanks

You'd need to ask the people at mrviewer if it would run from the cli, but I doubt it.

Another problem would be that it appears to require ftlk-2, whereas tinycore uses fltk-1.3
