Title: Crontab in Picore - can u add more than 1 custom line ?
Post by: kappclark on November 13, 2017, 08:13:18 AM
Hello - I see that picore allows entry of a custom crontab command in the control panel page. Can you add more than 1 custom crontab line ?

Strangely, after adding the line, it shows my new custom line, but entering crontab -e from ssh shows nothing .. I was thinking I cld edit the crontab file directly ...is it because I am logged in as tc and not root ?

I really thank the community for this great project ,

SO - I spent some quality time with this forum looking at all these amazing posts, and I found this:

Re: Running as server - need static ip and cron

CRONTAB to run autonmatically in Tiny Core

Hi aug,

You need to add var/spool/cron/crontabs to /opt/.filetool.lst and then filetool.sh -b so the crontab file is saved before you reboot.

Thanks, Jon -- problem solved ! Now vi actually sees the same file listings in crontab after reboot ... This TCE is like playng a new instrument ... so far I am enjoying this .. :)
