Title: ASUS tinker board and tiny core.
Post by: M-H on June 11, 2017, 03:13:46 PM
Hi all,
The Asus tinker board is out , and I have seen evidence of it reaching customers in West Europe.
looking at the specs it seems quite similar to the pi3, but surely it is different on some levels in the hardware.

I want to start a thread to discuss the feasibility to port TC or piCore to this new interesting SBC.
I might have one myself in due time, but for a full debian like install it isn't the ideal board for me as disk storage is limited to USB2
So a faster booting and performing piCorePlayer setup , capable of handeling a bigger LMS server database due to the 2 gig RAM and Gigabit uplink , is my first aim.

So shoot on this idea with some constructive criticism, while we learn on the capabilities and probably design flaws of this new board.
And for the lucky ones with the board at hand and the skills to tweak the kernel, let me know what you have accomplished.

Regards M-H
