Hi,
I'm looking to build tightvnc to see if it has the same issues as my spice client (is there an existing VNC client for cp64? I didn't see one), but it requires xmkmf. Apparently they're in imake / lmake, but those aren't around for cp64 either, and a quick Googling doesn't give me a source for the....sources... either.
Where might I find the source for imake?
Thanks,
Rafael

Hi flyingfishfinger
According to this:
http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat/4/idpl/27383340/dir/scientific_linux_7/com/imake-1.0.5-10.el7.x86_64.rpm.html
Imake is a deprecated source code configuration and build system which
has traditionally been supplied by and used to build the X Window System ....

Yeah I saw that. However, the Unix source for TightVNC calls for xmkmf, which isn't a package in TC anymore. I'd appreciate pointers to a different solution, if there's a better / updated method.
Thanks!

Hi flyingfishfinger
Try:
http://xorg.freedesktop.org/releases/individual/util/
-
imake (contains xmkmf) posted to tc-7.x corepure64 repo
-
Cool, thanks.
I notice it's not available through the 6.x mirror of course, do I need to upgrade my core files to 7.x or can I tell it to use the 7.x mirror in 6.x someplace?

Up to you - you could either upgrade to tc-7.x or manually download from:
http://tinycorelinux.net/7.x/x86_64/tcz/
..since the files are mainly scripts, they should be OK in tc-6.x
-
Ok. Is it sufficient to replace the two distribution files? I read the notes for the RC, I'm assuming I would need to reload all the onboot extensions from the 7.x repos.
I hope my own extensions still work :)

Yes, you just need to replace corepure64.gz and vmlinuz64 to update to tc-7.x
For the extensions you could either create a new extensions folder or update in your current folder
