Xmas for nerds, best present ever?
Probably will need to wait until new years before getting my hands on one or ten.

I just received mine too - will be installing PiCore as well.

The kernel could loose some of the modules, such as LAN and Audio as the PiZero doesn't have that functionality.

Hi: At ADAFRUIT the Raspi0 starter kit ($50.00 plus) is out of stock. So it will not be easy to get it for $ 5.00 for a while.
Microcenter in Tustin had it for $ 5.00 and two for $9.99. On the other hand I saw a Zero advertised as "one per household"
So - the demand must be huge.
I have a question on that other post here - Why is audio not needed?
HDMI output delivers video and audio. This means that you will get only video and no audio from HDMI.

The adafruit page indicates You can still get digital audio out via HDMI. (https://learn.adafruit.com/introducing-the-raspberry-pi-zero/audio-outputs) It also has instructions on how to get audio output from the GPIO pins.

EDIT:  Actually, audio still exists according to some sources, just the 3.5mm jacks have gone - audio runs through the sys chip (as pseudo USB device)  I have a microHDMI to VGA with audio out, so will try this.
