my sdb1 folder structure is
home,opt,tce,home2
and this is my boot .cfg file
DEFAULT tinycore
LABEL tinycore
KERNEL /tce/bzImage
APPEND initrd=/tce/tinycore.gz quiet home=UUID="b647c07e-d1f2-461a-9d4a-045b450ad1fd"
LABEL tinycore
KERNEL /tce/bzImage
APPEND initrd=/tce/tinycore.gz quiet home=UUID="b647c07e-d1f2-461a-9d4a-045b450ad1fd" /home2
is it rite if not plz any idea

I tryed that too in the past but unfortunately it doesn't work like that. The synthax looks correct though.
I think you can only specify the partitions where /home and /opt are located.
Just tce can be specified to be an alternate (sub)directory.
Would be nice if we could have /home and /opt in alternate locations too, to not mess up already existing linux installations.

Misalf is correct, you cannot specify the dir for home and opt.

You could set up separate partitions for each home and point to them.

Is this a last solution to making a new partition .
