Title: TC5.x graphics-3.8.10.tcz
Post by: n3ond4x on June 20, 2013, 01:42:13 PM
I'm using the TC5.x graphics-3.8.10.tcz to attempt getting the gma500_gfx module working correctly. On an ubuntu 12.04.2 install it works out of box on my machine and detects the resolution of my monitor using the same gma500_gfx module. When I install it in TC5.x with Xorg-7.6 I am forced to modprobe it. I added the modprobe to /opt/bootlocal.sh and it seems to load it fine but it doesn't seem to be using it properly. My screen is choppy and xrandr doesn't see the correct resolutions. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!

Maybe writing up an Xorg configuration file?

Both tc-5.x and Xorg-7.7 (for tc-5.x) are under development, I would wait a while yet.

Haha but I'm impatient! I just want to see if I can get this combo working. I require a new kernel for the gma500_gfx support and I figured I might as well go with the one tc5.x will be using.

Am I going to require Xorg-7.7 to use this module? I'm using 7.6.

Thanks!

Also it doesn't appear the kernel is noticing the hardware. I get nothing referencing it in dmesg while the kernel is supposed to support it from 3.3.4 and up.
