Title: MP3 Sync, music management ?
Post by: rob2nd9th on May 31, 2013, 11:00:22 AM
Hi all, love tiny core runs on my old aspire 1360 fantasticly

The only thing I need to do is, be able to put mp3 files on to an external MP3 player.

Any pointers would be great, I've got to the point where I can download the files see them in the file manager and can see the mp3 but just can't transfer. A GUI extension would be nice but it the only think I need the laptop to do

Thanks for any help

Rob

That all depends on the mp3 player.
If it has a USB connector, connect it to USB, mount it, and copy files.

Which file managers did you try?

hi

I had a mp3 player once, it had some kind of firmware, when you started it, it would refresh the database and was looking some kind of feature.

when I had it, I tricked it by ensuring my filenames were 8.3 format, manually unmounted the usb, powered off then on and then new mp3 were visible and usable

hope that helps

All sorted, figured it out.
No issues with mounting just did not have Thunar running.

Thanks for the replies.
