Title: gnome-icon-themes
Post by: Juanito on October 15, 2012, 03:50:24 AM
I see the latest gnome-icon-themes has a dep on gtk2 due to the start-up script.

Given that the extension could also be used with gtk3, is there an alternate way to go about this - for example, make gnome-icon-themes a dep of gtk2/3 and have the start-up script there?

i have added gtk2 dep because i needed gtk-update-icon-cache not to ship icons.cache with it
icons.cache of gnome-icon-theme is 58.8M

in my opinion best solution is to move gtk-update-icon-cache out of gtk2, remove gtk-update-icon-cache-3.0 from gtk3
and add gtk-update-icon-cache dep to both of them

That sounds like a good suggestion.

@Jason, @AmatCoder - what do you think?

Yes, I agree... that is how Arch distro solve it...
