Hello
that is great.
I wonder how easy it is to compile, say, a web browser for the ARM version of tinycore?. Will people get to know those instructions from that web page?
thanks
V.

To compile is as easy (or hard) as for TC on x86, except it is slower, you must be patient and you have to build necessary dependencies yourself or wait till else is doing it.
If you mean a graphical WEB browser like FIREFOX it is too early, as graphical components are missing, but it will come. You can experiance beauty of character based browser lynx available in the repo. I compiled natively elinks also will be submitted soon.
Most of the basic programs, say cca. 85% is already submitted to the repo which are necessary to build programs, so build infrastructure is ready and operational. Anyone can join to build it up.

hi roberts, i could not find link to this page on main pages of http://tinycorelinux.net
-
That is beacuse it is not officially released. It is development builds only.
-
Useful, I also like the idea of giving a place to scripts
-
although i have no arm devices but i watch for development of this branch with great interest
because i have suspicions that in future arm architecture can get so significant development
and increase scope of its application that now we can only guess about this

hi
one small typo found http://distro.ibiblio.org/tinycorelinux/4.x/armv7/README.txt

Updated Arm web page to reflect current changes.
Also linked from main Download page.

I have moved the Arm release files onto the new site. See the downloads page http://repo.tinycorelinux.net/arm.html
I will also leave them on code.google.com until I release 4.7.2 which will default to using the new site.

Downloads page updated to reflect new server:
http://tinycorelinux.net/arm.html
Gone should be the code.google links. Refresh your browser if needed.
