Title: Mineshafter Java {solved}

Hey,
I want to play mineshafter, but it is not loading. I have tried to openjdk 6 and 7,

is their a way to install oracle's Java? I used thier install instructions on the website..not successful Anyone else getting mineshafter working?

I don't know anything about mineshafter, but there are also sun-jdk and a sun-jdk7 java extensions in the repository. The websites I visit accept sun-jre but don't seem to recognize the open-jdk-jre extensions. Maybe you've got a similar problem. Hope this helps.

I went back to a site I had seen before and just installed Java 6

Now it works great. It must have been the open version of Java that was the problem. now all my Java programs seem to be working great.
