Note that version dropped support for HD2k, HD3k, HD4k cards. So it might be better to create a separate extension instead of updating the current one.

yes, thank you Arslan, i tried ati catalyst version 12.4
and it works without any issues with my embedded radeon hd6530d
this will be good solution in order to not create separate versions

Hi Kajuru
Actually, it's not. You neglected to read the info file for  ati-fglrx.tcz  which states:
Quote
2-) Download and install the extension ati-fglrx-kernel-source
(ati license does not permit distribution of kernel module)
Please read the info file for the rest of the directions.

Hi Kajuru
Start by adding  blacklist=radeon  to the config file of your boot loader. Then restart your machine. When the GUI
comes up, press Ctrl-Alt-Backspace, that will kick you out of the GUI and into the console. Now execute the
commands in steps 2 through 8, omit the leading $ sign. If all goes well, step 6 will get you back to your GUI.

Sorry for the delay, I got it working alright, but when closing apps(say, firefox) I can see the screen refresh from top to bottom. Glxgears giving about 300fps, and videos play ok, so I guess I cant complain.

you should have 5k-10k fps with glxgears

make sure correct drivers are in use and check the output of fglrxinfo
