Title: Compile environment

Whatever is required, except maybe outsource headers for more flexibility?

I guess my phrasing may have been confusing...

My suggestion is to have whatever is required in order to be able to compile packed into an scm.

At the same time I meant to pose the question if perhaps it might be favourable to pack headers separately.
