Getting Ready to Move! [completed]
« on: March 29, 2011, 04:48:34 PM »
We are in the process of moving to a new host for the forum and wiki.
The Wiki has been taken offline until further notice.

An announcement regarding the forum will be posted soon.
Within the next few days we should have completed the move.
Forum downtime will be kept to a minimum. Announcement to follow.

The Tiny Core Wiki has been moved and online.

Since we don't require a full CMS as the wiki's sole purpose is to host documentation, We have changed to a much lighter wiki software, dokuwiki.

Note dokuwiki and our forum software, simple machines, share a single user login/password.
You can login to the Wiki with your existing forum login and password.

This is the first phase of the move.

Ok I have to remind me, tomorrow at 20.00 (gmt+2 the current italian DST) don't use the forum!
By the way, how do we know when everything is back to normal?

P.s. maybe it would just send an advice with a pm to all users?

Put SMF to maintenace mode. May help.

In same situation I'm renaming the root directory of the forum on the server and put a simple html page with one line "Sorry...."
