hello,

my gateway G6-350 was fine when i installed tinycore.  about two weeks ago i used it and received an error while using control panel>apps update:

Error on fetch of /mnt/hda1/tce/optional/squashfs-tools-4.0.tcz.md5.txt
Could be a network issue or ...
that this extension has a new name or is no longer supported!

i continued to use the computer without any noticeable issues, and i was hoping that the error would resolve itself.  is this something i should be very concerned about, if so, could someone here direct me on how to fix it?

install from the repo squashfs-tools-4.x.tcz, and delete the 4.0 version.

The renaming was done so the extension name would not change on every 4.x release.

Hello Jason W,

i tried this:

control panel>apps audit>dependencies>build reporting database>click squash-tools-4.0.tcz.  it now says 'squash-tools-4.0.tcz' above the right hand window>dependencies>mark for deletion.  i then get text following 'squash-tools-4.0.tcz' in the right hand pane that says 'cannot be deleted'.
i don't know how to delete.  this is the only method for deleting that i am aware of. 
could you please advise about how to delete 'squash-tools-4.0.tcz'?
