Both examples are user initiated exceptions not normally encountered.
And certainly not a reason to post:

I believe that the default in Xorg is to even prevent such killing of the X server.
I will however test my adjustments for this exceptional situation.

OK. Just tested my adjustments against maro's user initiated exception. It passed.
