Wrong name of startup file
« on: November 11, 2010, 02:03:10 PM »
In the firmware-iwlwifi.tcz extension the startup file (in '/usr/local/tce.installed') is named 'firmware' instead of 'firmware-iwlwifi'. This has the side effect that one can't install the 'firmware.tcz' extension after the faulty one was installed. Due to the name clash 'tce-load' refuses to install 'firmware.tcz'.

Just before I hit the 'Post' button I had a quick look (via 'appbrowser') into the .list files of firmware-libertas.tcz and firmware-wimax.tcz and they seem to share the same problem.

Jason, I wonder whether you already have a check for this issue in your extension audit script. If not it might be worth to add it.

I don't have that specific check yet, though I will add it since a misnamed startup script is an easy mistake to make, and an easy one to correct with the audit routine.

Thanks, uploading fixed versions now.
The only barriers that can stop you are the ones you create yourself.
