Midori and Flash10 Problem
« on: February 26, 2010, 02:17:27 AM »
On a virgin test setup of 2.8.1 Flash10 does not work with Midori.

OSS installed, switched on, tested via osstest, working  - OK.

Midori installed, started and closed  - OK.

GetFlash10.tcz installed and run to install flash10  - OK

http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/console/5live/   - Fails with message to install Flash.

Checking for missing dependencies curl reports openssl-0.9.8k.tcz as missing.

Install openssl-0.9.8k.tcz   - OK

Close and restart Midori  - Flash still not working.

midori had an init script that creates a symlink but it does not have it at the moment after the update  ;)

sudo mkdir -p /usr/local/lib/mozilla/plugins
sudo ln -s /usr/local/share/flash10/libflashplayer.so /usr/local/lib/mozilla/plugins

OK - that's fixed it.  Thanks.

Will this fix be included in future updates of the app?

Curl issue fixed, and the corrected midori extension has been submitted.
