Upgrading with tc-install [solved]
« on: May 03, 2011, 02:07:05 AM »
The old usbinstall had an option to upgrade (rather than completely install) TCL on a USB stick, preserving the existing tce directory. Is there a similar option or procedure in tc-install or some other script? Confession -- I wiped out my old installation when upgrading to 3.6 with tc-install. No biggie since I didn't have many extensions but it was mildly annoying.

You don't need an installation program to copy, typically, a single file, tinycore.gz
Use a file manager, fluff  included in the base, or use your favorite from the repository.
Tiny Core usually upgrades the kernel, once a year, So once a year, use a file manager to copy over two files, bzImage and tinycore.gz!
