Hi CNK
... The "Creating an Extension" page is also missing instructions at the end for using bcrypt to avoid Gmail blocking extension submission emails (I discovered that this is still required earlier this year). current, archived.

The last archived recent changes page shows that the bcrypt step was added to the Creating Extensions page at "2019/07/08 08:16". Does this mean the wiki has been restored to a date some time from before that date? The current Recent Changes page shows the last edit before 2022 as "2019/04/23 19:07", but the two pages seem inconsistent - maybe due to the Wiki software upgrade.

Hi GNUser
At one time the Wiki stated you should encrypt it. Somewhere along the line someone decided it was unnecessary and stated
so in the Wiki. Anytime I send something to  tcesubmit _at_ gmail _dot_ com  I always encrypt it. My uninformed opinion is that
encrypting it ensures all Google sees is gibberish, and less likely to be caught up in one of their filtering algorithms. ...

It's possible I added the bcrypt instructions back in back then.

I would bet all attached images are possibly affected.   As the image is not stored in the database.   It is stored on the local server disk,  and only the file reference is saved in the database.  Images have to be backed up with FTP and then transferred to the new server.  It’s an annoyance of SMF.

I would just re-upload your avatar, or create something new.

Nailed it!

Hi CentralWare
So far https seems to be working. When hovering over the padlock in the
address bar it says  "Verified by: Let's Encrypt".
On the reply page it states  "parts of this page are not secure".
It's probably flagging the smiley faces. They still have  http  links.

Hi CentralWare
They're not being flagged, and it may not be an issue, but the following
still have  http  prefixes:

The links directly under  News:  in the top right corner of the page.

@Rich: Any links for www, repo, etc. I have to leave alone (http) as there's no SSL on that server and it's not within my reach to make changes there.  I only have access to wiki and forum.  If that changes, it's a quick fix.  If not, it shouldn't have any repercussions on wiki/forum.  (The wiki link has been updated.)

@Rich: LMAO maybe so, but the nagging pointed me in the direction(s) that needed attention which in the end could have saved me many hours of page-by-page hunting for problems that may or may not have been visible to me at first run.  I've been doing this for 30+ years (Electrical Engineer, but was knee-deep when the Internet was born and web page contracts came in at about $1,500 per HTML page, so web design and network administration come with the territory and "page-by-page" happens more times than not!)  PLUS...  I wasn't about to go down as the guy who LET Tiny's years worth of experience fade into history!! :)

Ciao!

@centralware
Do you have some script now in the server to auto update the certificate ?
Or does the host server doing this automatically ?

And to append more things to the Que, my suggestion goes to have the redirect from http to https automatically.

Thanks a lot for doing this great job.

And do you know how many years we are suffering with out the original wiki ??
Now we can easy solving new users questions, just redirect them to the correct wiki page.
And maybe also update and add more. I don't know to login. But There is no rush.
