Tiny Core v9.0
« on: February 27, 2018, 02:52:16 AM »
Team Tiny Core is proud to announce the release of Core v9.0
http://www.tinycorelinux.net/9.x/x86/release
http://www.tinycorelinux.net/9.x/x86_64/release

Changelog for 9.0:
* kernel updated to 4.14.10
* glibc updated to 2.26
* gcc updated to 7.2.0
* e2fsprogs base libs/apps updated to 1.43.7
* util-linux base libs/apps updated to 2.31
* /lib/udev permissions corrected in x86_64
* ldd: add --version function, from andyj
* scsi_transport_fc.ko.gz moved to base
* os-release: os release data, from andyj

Note that there is a pending issue in that the 32-bit busybox mv will not move broken symlinks - this seems to be caused by updated versions of gcc and/or glibc.

Thanks to coreplayer2 for updating the firmware extensions.

***
The Meltdown vulnerability affecting Intel processors affects this version. Intel had released a microcode fix and some oem had issued bios updates containing the fix, but they now appear to have been pulled.

Hi
Please update these files.
These info files are used by apps (GUI app browser) and tc-install (tc-install.sh).
Many thanks.  :)

Can you please publish the 32-bit and 64-bit sources for BusyBox used in this release. Thanks.

I mean is it with issue or not? Is it good or not good? Is it alpha, beta, or stable? Recommended or not recommended?

Hi AsocialSurvival
This is a final release, so stable.
