Perl5 breaks due to multi-thread

Hi,

In 8.x, I noticed perl5.tcz was recompiled with multi-threaded support, but this breaks previously built/compiled (private) Perl modules.

Would it be possible to update perl5.tcz without multi-thread, and then perhaps provide perl5-multi.tcz for those who want multi-threaded? Thanks.
