vm stuck / logon fail
« on: June 09, 2015, 06:03:19 PM »
I loaded "TinyCorePure64-6.3.iso" in VM workstation 10 and it's stuck now.
It loaded the gui and I looked around, shut it down, turned it on again, didn't really do much.
Now it's at a terminal logon, no gui, "linux-micro-01a login:"
I tried tc/none tc/tc  tc/password   and root/none root/root and some other guesses.

Also, VM is stuck.  All the options are grayed out, so I can't reboot/shutdown, cannot view settings.  I've never seen it do this.
I created another TC with the same iso and opened right to the gui, shutdown, all good.
My other VMs are fine, its just this one that's acting up.

TinyCorePure64-6.3.iso is the first dual (u)efi/legacy bios boot iso - is it possible that this is causing the problem?

Do you get the same thing with TinyCorePure64-6.2.iso or CorePure64-6.3.iso?

I use legacy boot.   The option is under Settings / Options / Advanced, but settings is grayed out right now.
The only TC ISO I have is this one.
This is a test environment, I'm going to reboot the host to close it.
