I think I ran out of disk space. Freed some space and re-imported mydesktop and now it works fine. Even Libreoffice is working now, but Xarchiver is still unable to extract files. This time there was no mydesktop folder left behind but in tcedir/import/debs there was a usr folder containing some dirs and files.

Booting is still slower than rc1.

Uggla - to answer your question about downloaded debs, they are downloaded and kept in /etc/sysconfig/tcedir/import/debs.  When import is used to fetch a package, if the deb or the relevant -data.tar.gz or a prebuilt tar.gz already exists in that directory, a quick md5 check is run on it and if there is a newer version on the server then the newer file is downloaded and used and the old one deleted.

I think I found the libreoffice issue.  libreoffice does not automatically pull in a JRE or libreoffice-java-common, this is issued as a recommendation given by apt when installing from within Debian.  I added default-jre and libreoffice-java-common to the deps of libreoffice and it works out of the box when imported now.

I have added the recommended archiver deps (7z, bzip2, etc) to the dependency list of xarchiver, and also did some work with the startup scripts of gzip and tar to make sure busybox symlinks were being replaced with the full versions when loading the packages.  Import it again and see if there is an improvement.

Xarchiver is still unable to extract files from the gui, using Xarchiver to extract files from the command line works though.

On a fresh import of Xarchiver, it extracts tar.gz and tar.bz2 from the gui here just fine.

I'm unable to remove icons from wbar. I've tried tc-wbarconf and it didn't work. I've also tried to manually add lines to xwbar.lst, it didn't work either.

Works for me.
eXclued UXterm icon. OK. Reboot OK.
Imported browser, dwb, eXcluded dwb. OK.
Added dwb back. OK.
No issues detected. Works as expected.

Perhaps your issue is extension specific.

UXterm works for me but Firefox (Mozilla in tc-wbarconf), Chrome and XSane does not.

uggla,

To solve your "copy file: /usr/etc/wbar.d/wbar.cfg" error and to get wbar to work, remove the following files for previous Tiny Core Linus installation:

     /home/tc/.wbar
     /home/tc/.wbarconf

I had this problem and after removing the files above, my wbar now works.  Tiny Core Linux 5.x uses tc-wbarconf, not the .wbar and .wbarconf used in 4.x.
