Hello guys!

I think I am pretty close to get opera 10.10 run with flash, getFlash11.

I manage to install tiny core, and opera 10 and getFlash11, but when I try to enter a site with flash nothing happens, no flash items start like at youtube.

In opera I do not see any flash plugin

Hi fredand44
I'm running the same version of Opera with Flash10 and I get the same thing. Go to
Tools->Preferences->Advanced->Downloads and see if it lists
Quote
application/x-shockwave-flash  swf
Open a terminal and post the result of:
Quote
sudo find / -iname *flash* | grep -Ev '\.h|\.c|\.ko'

[EDIT]: Added grep to filter output of find command

Hello Guys!

Thanks for the replies!

F2 opera/plugins gave
application/futuresplash   spl
application/x-shockwave-flash   swf
/usr/local/lib/opera/plugins/libflashplayer.so

And the same under Tools->Preferences->Advanced->Downloads

I will also try the find command right away!
Will be back soon

The find command was a bit tricky to exe, stucked with a english keybaord but swedish layout.

I executed sudo find -iname *flash* and found it in a folder wmx OnDemand.

So If you guys got any more clues please let me know!

Btw The computer got a 500Mhz P3 processor and 1Gb in RAM.
It do respond pretty fast so I do not think this is a hardware issue. Or could my 16Mb video card be the case

Best regards
Fredrik

Hi fredand44
I think I know what the problem is. After some intense reading of the Info file for Opera10, the first line states:
Quote
WARNING: This extension no longer works with
current releases of adobe flash - 08-06-2011.
There is a thread here about it:
http://forum.tinycorelinux.net/index.php/topic,7683.msg57776.html#msg57776
I mention the version of flash you need if you want to run Opera10, otherwise consider going to Opera11.

Not guaranteed that flash 11.2 would work with these hardware specs, independent of browser.

Hello guys!

Hope you got some time to give me some advise!

I installed Opera 11, and re run getFlash11
In my Opera 11 I get Description: Shockwave Flash 11.2 r202
/usr/local/lib/opera/plugins/libflashplayer.so
I also set it to be enabled.

But when I enter youtube I still get not to start, just a black screen where the flash-movie is supposed to appear.

Best regards
Fredrik

So the plugin is both installed and detected by the browser.

- run ldd on it, to check any missing dependencies
- start opera with the plugin debug option (see the manpage)
The only barriers that can stop you are the ones you create yourself.

Hello guys!

I manage to install firefox and then it worked!
Unfortunately it seems like my video card is the limit. Films at youtube just get start and stop.

Best regards
