Looking for term-apps +dwm: irssi-newsbeuter-ranger-bitlbee-jumanji

All fantastically interesting and appreciated.

Using dwm (and dmenu of course) with tmux really opens it all up I believe. And with ranger and the rest (perhaps swapping jumanji out and dwb 'dynamic web browser' in)  is what i'll be working towards.

very cool to have had much answered and many directions pointed to. hoping to study and try this weekend.
I really like how tries and puzzlements etc. open things up.

had a great weekend and now it's mid-week and just managing to get back here.
Solorin! enjoyed a working dwm, many many thanks. i get the dwm part on the bottom,
the dmenu part on the top, all basically working of course over top of the standard
window manager.

So now i need to deduce how to remove the standard wm (as I've got all .tcz files in two locations
including the optional folder of course. that's the first puzzle, and secondly as to whether
 dwm will call up the needed appbrowser TCL specificic programs.

It might be easier to start with a Core iso and follow these slightly outdated instructions.

Note Microcore's name was changed to Core a few releases back.

Your desktop should resemble something like this.

See attached .logorc for ascii logo in the center of the picture. you can use torsmo or conky to display it.

Do you have any nice scripts for the status bar?

It a Lovecraftian monster, but I manage to stitch one together from pieces scavenged from the internet. Learned me some shell scripting along the way.

Improvements and suggestions welcome. Particularly elegant solutions for displaying network stats.

been crazy busy and for the next while no letting up on that vibe.
the great part is that studying how TCL works and the differences now is attainable.
