Remastering
« on: February 05, 2012, 08:19:21 PM »
Hello!

Sorry my english is bad

I want repack microcore

1. Unpack tinycore.gz
2. Unpack core.cpio
3. Place my program to root dir /
4. Make core.cpio
5. Compress by GZIP
6. Load via GRUB

But sometimes on G41 chipset boot stopped with message Fixing recursive fault but  reboot needed!
EIP: [<c01407e6>] SS:ESP 0068:f4461c28
CR2 00000000fffffffc

Original tinycore.gz always booting without this problem.

What i do wrong?

Hi OpenGL32
You might be better off installing the EZremaster extension and using that. Also, search the forum
for most recent posts on EZremaster.

Hi OpenGL32,

try to follow guides at http://wiki.tinycorelinux.net/wiki:remastering

you should unpack/pack as written there.

Also, sometimes, adding "cgroup_disable=memory" to kernel's append line helps. At least it works for me :)

Have fun,
Ivan
